Growing up in Central New York, Scott started playing drums
in his basement at the age of 12. Some of his early
influences were Kiss, Bad Company, The Allman Brothers...
basically anything rock & roll. Scott even resorting to
stealing his brother Doug's drum set to audition for a rock
band just after starting college. Two weeks later, he quit
school to play with the Carmond Brickfield Band... and
Scott's had quite a ride ever since.
CBB hung together for about 5 years playing clubs throughout
Central New York. Eventually CBB morphed into two other
"radio" rock bands, but when they disbanded, Scott decided
to take a long "leave of absence" from rock and roll. In
that time, he graduated college, got married and now has a
wonderful 4 year old daughter (who is Debbie's biggest fan!)
In the summer of 2005, Scott ran into his old guitar player
from CBB who just move to the Capital District from South
Carolina. As the story goes, they just couldn't let an
opportunity slip by, so they got hold of a bass player they
knew from home and moved him to the Capital District. and
started the band, Three Card Stud, in Scott's garage. They
played for about a year in the Capital District before they
"folded." And that's when the "fill in" drummer position
with Ten Year Vamp opened up while they looked for a full
time replacement. A month later Ten Year Vamp stopped
looking and asked Scott to be the "official" drummer.
"I'm having the best time of my 'rock-n-roll' life playing
with these guys... every show is awesome and the fans
couldn't be nicer. I just want to say "Thank You" for making
me feel so welcome. Here's to many more years of playing
with Ten Year Vamp!" |
